Losing weight isn’t just about what you do or don’t eat.
Losing weight can be done with your emotions.
In fact, losing and gaining weight ARE done with your emotions.
Oftentimes, clients come to me with habits of eating when their work becomes stressful, relationships become difficult to maintain, family get-togethers are a disaster, and life gets boring.
We eat because we’re stressed, anxious, fearful, hopeless, frustrated, excited, and bored.
We eat based on emotions. It’s what we see people doing, it’s what we do, it’s what we’re taught to do.
When it comes down to it, eating is often tied to emotions.
If my above premise is true, then learning how to *not* eat because of an emotion is *key* to losing weight.
But if you don’t eat when you’re stressed, anxious, fearful, hopeless, frustrated, excited or bored, then what do you do instead?
And when do you eat?
Instead of eating because of an emotion or to cover up an emotion, you feel the emotion. You process the emotion.
Instead of eating because of emotions, you eat when you’re hungry.
You eat food for fuel.
You feel your emotions.
You feel your way to losing weight.
