“I want to lose weight.”

“I’ve decided to lose weight.”

Say each of those out loud.

Notice how one feels hopeful and the other feels like a stance.

That’s the difference between wanting something and deciding to make it happen.

Wanting to lose weight is putting hope in an idea of this thing that you’ve considered mulling around about.

Deciding to lose weight is taking a stand for what you WANT by committing to getting it done and making a plan to get it done.

The difference between wanting to lose weight and deciding to lose weight is what it will cost you.

Wanting to lose weight costs you time and energy as you wait to make it happen, consider it and think about it for days, weeks, months, and even years without taking action on it.

Deciding to lose weight costs you your comfort, safety, cough potato ways, cheat days/weeks, and much more.

They both have prices to pay, but one will get you to your goal and the other will still have you thinking about it your goal as something to consider possibly one day.
